JOB SUMMARY

The Director/Vice President of Human Resources will plan, direct, and manage the Human Resources function to ensure the implementation of sound recruitment, orientation, employee/labor relations, benefits design and administration, compensation, diversity, awards and recognition, employee development, performance management, and retention programs. They will establish and communicate corporate policies and will operate with a high degree of independence and regularly use judgment and discretion in accomplishing goals and objectives. They will participate in monthly Management Team meetings to provide strategic input regarding all HR matters.

Director/ VP of Human Resources Compensation:

Base annual salary range: Commensurate with skills and experience

Annual Bonus Potential: % of annual base salary, prorated from date of hire and subject to terms and conditions


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIEE

  • Establish and direct the implementation of policies
  • Develop, issue, and continuously update all communications designed to inform employees of company operations and policies.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor the performance evaluation system based on established criteria
  • Maintain all personnel records and actions (merit increases, promotions, separations, etc.)
  • Identify, select, and manage internal/ external training providers necessary to deliver required training programs
  • Maintain administrative contacts with benefit plan providers and/or representatives to ensure the effective delivery of benefit programs and the prompt resolution of problems
  • Ensure that benefit options are adequately explained to all employees
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and request re-evaluations for new or modified positions
  • Conduct salary surveys and other research to ensure adequate and competitive pay practices
  • Establish a uniform policy to ensure that disciplinary actions are implemented in a fair and consistent manner
  • Receive, investigate, appropriately document, and resolve complaints and/or allegations of misconduct from employees and/or management.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant federal and state government regulations, including but not limited to ADA, ADEA, EEOC, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, OSHA, FLSA, ERISA, etc.
  • Review and authorize initiation and modification of employee payroll records and coordinate with Payroll Manager to ensure accurate payments to employees
  • Serve as Plan Administrator for RCH 401k plan and review and submit required plan fillings, including Forms 5500 and 8955-SSA
  • Serve as member and Secretary of 401k Plan Investment Committee, which includes coordination and scheduling of quarterly meetings, preparation of Meeting Minutes and any recommendations to the Plan Sponsor
  • Coordinate with SVP-Sr. Operations Officer for the preparation and submission of the annual JDIG GAR filing
  • Ensure compliance with SCA Wage Determination requirements for federal contractors

Management

  • Ensure proper department procedures and controls are implemented and executed effectively.
  • Provide orientation and on the job training to new staff and/or newly promoted managers to assist with understanding all job responsibilities and expectations.
  • Coach and develop staff regarding performance reviews and the necessity of providing ongoing and regular feedback.
  • Coordinate HR related audit documents with outside auditors.
  • Conduct team and one-on-one meetings with employees on an as-needed basis.
  • Participate in monthly Management Team meetings to provide strategic input regarding all HR matters and prepare and submit Quarterly Reports
  • Identifies and explores trends in human resources to enhance the employee experience, meet evolving organizational needs and create innovative programs and submits recommendations based upon these trends to Executive Management
  • Work with Compensation Committee of the Board of Managers in conjunction with the CEO
  • Assist with special projects as requested.

Process Improvement

  • Seek, identity, and implement opportunities to amend processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and quality of service in department.
  • Create a quality control process for the integrity and accuracy of all departmental transactions.

*The Director/VP of Human Resources will be required to complete a hybrid training program that will require onsite work. Upon completion of the training program, the hybrid work schedule will fluctuate based upon payroll processing schedules and business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or similar relevant field
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Proven experience and knowledge in HR disciplines (staffing, compensation, training, etc.)
  • Ability to work individually and with initiative
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate and apply appropriate regulatory rules, information, or action, to any given situation.
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to handle employee relations issues with professionalism, empathy, and sensitivity
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office, payroll software and HRIS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree or HR Certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred
  • Experience with Federal Contractor compliance (SCA Wage Determinations)
  • Prior experience working with Executive Management preferred
