Applications Support Specialist Compensation:

Base annual salary range: $65,000-$75,000,commensurate with skills and experience

Annual Bonus Potential: maximum 10% of annual base salary, prorated from date of hire and subject to terms and conditions

Applications Support Specialist Position Summary

As an Applications Support Specialist, you will be responsible for handling technical requests submitted by end users of RCH products and systems to troubleshoots and resolve errors.

Responsibilities

  • Handle technical requests submitted by end users of RCH products and systems.
  • Act quickly to analyze available data and determine root cause of the technical issues.
  • Develop a solution to resolve the issue or refer the issue to the Development Team for resolution.
  • Maintain detailed log of issues and resolutions and provide updates and progress reports to end users throughout the process.
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for recurring or anticipated issues.
  • Assist users with technical questions or issues related to products or applications.
  • Work with the Development Team to manage Deployment of Software updates.
  • Coordinate with Business units, IT teams and external vendors and ensure effective application services and reliability of all applications.
  • Evaluate processes and recommend products/applications improvements.
  • Other tasks/projects as assigned.

*The Applications Support Specialist will be required to work onsite for the first few days for equipment assignment and training. Upon completion of the onsite training, the Applications Support Specialist will be permitted to work remotely. When conditions permit, employees may be required to work onsite one (1) day per week. We have no immediate plans to implement this requirement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area
  • 2+ years' of experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft Window servers, systems, applications, and tools
  • Superior analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in Windows
  • Knowledge of PowerShell or Command line is a plus
  • Basic scripting and/or basic development experience with any programming or scripting languages is preferred
  • Familiar with ticketing system (Jira)
  • Ability to connect with a diverse set of clients to understand future business needs
  • Familiar with updating system’s certificates, service packs, licenses
  • Ability to learn quickly and independently and is a continuous learner
  • Knowledge of application deployment process
  • Experience with software installation and maintenance
  • Extreme attention to details and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively work with limited or no supervision
  • Superior analytical and time management skills
