ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Review and objectively assess RCH’s internal controls, business processes and procedures for effectiveness.
  • Undertake internal audits to ensure the company meets its financial, operational and compliance objectives.
  • Overall responsibility and accountability for planned annual audits.
  • Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and national best practice.
  • Report control deficiencies to management and make recommendations to mitigate risk and add value.
  • Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process.
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to Management and/or Risk Committees.
  • Conduct follow up audits to monitor management remediations.
  • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
  • Serve as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement.
  • Track remediation of identified issues and follow-up with Stakeholders, including reporting.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar relevant field
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification preferred
  • 4-8 years of proven work experience as Internal Auditor or Senior Auditor
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports
  • Extreme attention to detail and superior analytical skills
  • Sound independent judgment
